Instructions for use:
The Spray.Bike Cold-Zinc Primer is a must-have for any cyclist looking to give their steel frames a more historically accurate look. This metallic gray primer provides a strong adhesion for Spray.Bike paints, ensuring a long-lasting finish. However, due to transport restrictions, this product can only be shipped within the European Union, and to Norway, Switzerland, Malta, or Iceland.
Before using the Cold-Zinc Primer, it is important to ensure that the surface is clean and dry. Additionally, it is recommended to wear protective gloves, clothing, and eye/face protection when using this product. Always paint in an open space in the open air, and avoid using Spray.Bike if the temperature is below 10°C or above 35°C, or if relative humidity is above 75%.
To use the Cold-Zinc Primer, shake the can for at least 3 minutes before use, and test spray for 2-3 seconds prior to application. Spray from a distance of at least 20 cm, and keep your hand moving at all times. Allow the primer to dry for 30 minutes to 1 hour before applying Spray.Bike paint. Finally, turn the can upside down and spray for 2 seconds before storing, and protect the can from sunlight and temperatures exceeding 50°C/122°F.
Overall, the Spray.Bike Cold-Zinc Primer is a reliable and high-quality product that will help you achieve the perfect finish for your steel frames.
Spray.Bike is a collaboration between three different companies: Brick Lane Bikes – a major international manufacturer, retailer and wholesaler in the bike industry, based in London. Vicious Cycles Athens – an urban bike workshop in the centre of Athens, Greece. Cosmos Lac – a high-tech paint manufacturer based in Greece.
Spray.Bike was created out of frustration with existing products. if you’re not an experienced pro, metal or car spray paint is so utterly difficult to use on bikes. At VCA, while trying to repair a damaged frame using a standard RAL spray, we were so disappointed with the results that we phoned up the manufacturer, which happened to be Cosmos Lac. “Well what do you want the paint to do?” was the reply. After 2 years of development, Spray.Bike is the answer.
VCA and Cosmos Lac sent samples over to Brick Lane Bikes in London for their highly trusted opinion. From the moment they tried it, they wanted to be part of the excitement too.
