Description
The stem converter is the perfect solution for vintage bikes that require installation of a 1-1/8'' threadless stem on 1" threaded forks. This converter features a circular section tube body split into two parts of different diameters, a headset cap for the upper closure, a long screw with an A-6 mm Allen head, and a lower locking wedge to secure the assembly against the inside of the fork's steerer tube.
The converter is compatible with threaded forks that have an outer diameter of 1'' - 25.4 mm and an inner diameter of 22.2 mm, while compatible stems have a steerer diameter of 1-1/8'' - 28.6 mm and are threadless. The small diameter of the converter is 22.2 mm and the large one is 28.6 mm (1" - 1.1/8").
Made of cold-forged aluminum, the hardware is made of stainless steel, and the wedge expanding for locking onto the fork is made of steel. The converter is silver in color and has a satin metallic finish that makes it elegant and durable. This converter is suitable not only for classic bikes but also for a wide range of 1" fork bikes, including fixie, single-speed, or track bikes.
