VEGAST is a top-of-the-line crankset from Rotor's premium brand. This crankset is designed to represent the victorious moments of the Rotor brand in some of the most prestigious cycling competitions in the world, including the Tour de France, Spanish Vuelta, and Giro de Italia. Its name is a tribute to the great mountain peaks of these tours, which include the Veleta, Galibier, and Stelvio.
One of the key features of VEGAST is its Direct Mount technology, which features a proprietary spline interface connecting the crank arm, axle, and chainring. With this technology, cyclists can easily assemble and disassemble their crankset using only one bolt. This makes maintenance and repairs much simpler for riders of all levels.
The VEGAST crankset is also crafted using expert CNC processes, ensuring precision and high-quality construction. The Trinity Drilling System is another distinctive feature of this crankset. This system incorporates three internal holes that run from axle to pedal, providing the dual benefits of an exceptionally light crankset and superior stiffness. This ensures that the VEGAST crankset is capable of taking on even the most challenging rides.
Overall, the VEGAST crankset is an impressive product that's built to deliver top-notch performance, style, and durability to meet the demands of serious cyclists.
Rotor Component Technologies was founded in the School of Aeronautical Engineering in Madrid in 1995. The designers decided to stablish a company to complete this product development and start a business venture. The early version of the ROTOR System became available in 1998, being manufactured by the Spanish high end component manufacturer.
In 2001 they launched the RCK so all cyclists could take advantage of the biomechanical benefits offered by ROTOR System using a conventional bicycle frame. In 2015 the company took a huge step by introducing the oval shaped chainring.
The aim of the company is to offer solutions for cyclists and to improve the performance of bicycles with help of high technology. The cyclists find problems and propose innovative solutions. They have repeatedly demonstrated that with technologies like the ALMA (Appropiate Lightweight Material Aplication) and the CCC (Closed Clamp Concept), the bicycle market can be revolutionized by fresh and powerful ideas.
Professional cyclists, world champions, teams of the UCI and cycling enthusiasts use the ROTOR products in their competitions and trainings. The evolution in the products comes from information provided by cyclists themselves.
