It is conceived as a modern urban backpack, designed for people who know what they want. Despite being highly resistant, its Cordura fabric looks and feels like it’s hand-woven. It is also completely waterproof, and is also equipped with reflective elements, so that the biker can be seen at any time of the day.

Its TPU back padding makes it perfect for long trips, as it will stay fresh thanks to its ventilation channels, which ensure a good air circulation. Its rolling closure system makes it totally easy to get to the main compartment, in which you could keep a laptop or a tablet, thanks to its padding. Ortlieb Commuter Daypack Urban Line backpacks are equipped with straps and a belt, both of which are removable.

In 1982, Hartmut Ortlieb founded ORTLIEB Sportartikel GmbH in Nuremberg, Germany. The first ORTLIEB bike panniers were created in pure personal need for waterproof equipment. ORTLIEB’s first products were hand-made on his mother’s sewing machine: dry bags and bicycle panniers made of truck tarps.

In the meantime, the company has more than 140 employees, and ORTLIEB’s collection has grown to include over 500 individual products. Even today, everything is located under one roof: from development and design to engineering, production, sales, marketing, and shipment.
