From setbacks to success

Challenge's journey began in the 1990s, when the Clément factory was dismantled by Pirelli. Max Brauns saw an opportunity in this situation and decided to take over the reins of the factory to resume production of the prized handmade tubular tires that were so highly valued in the market. Although they were unable to license the Clément name from Pirelli, this did not deter Max and his son Alex. In 2000, they opted to create their own brand, naming it "Challenge", a reflection of their tenacity and the great challenge ahead of them.

Challenge is a brand born from innovation and commitment to quality for the cyclist. It is recognized for its use of high durability materials such as natural rubbers, silk, cotton, polyester and latex, to manufacture high performance tires with an artisanal technique dominated by few companies.
